You Are Lost!

Every saved person once was lost. To be lost is to be in sin and to be in sin is to have broken the eternal laws of the eternal God, Jehovah. The question to ask is, have you ever broken God's laws?
Here are the Ten Commandments:

Moses Ten Commandments

I) Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.

  • Atheists break this by replacing God with themselves and making their own rules.
  • Other religions break this by worshipping strange gods.

II) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.

  • A common feature of false religion is the making of idols.
  • Trying to worship Jehovah through any physical item is idolatry.

III) Thou shalt not take the Lord thy God's name in vain.

  • Swearing using the name of Jesus is a grave sin.

IV) Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy.

  • The seventh day of creation, Saturday (not Sunday), was made holy by the God of creation because he ended his work on that day. Failing to remember this is a sin.

V) Honour thy father and thy mother.

  • For the young, hating or being disobedient to your parents, for the older, forgetting them.

VI) Thou shalt not kill.

  • Without lawful authority, taking it upon one's self to end a life (including suicide which is self-murder).
  • Imaginations of murdering someone.

VII) Thou shalt not commit adultery.

  • Sexual acts with another person outside of marriage.
  • Fantasies of fornication with others, including viewing pornography.

VIII) Thou shalt not steal.

  • Taking something not rightfully yours.

IX) Thou shalt not bear false witness.

  • Telling lies; from 'making someone feel better' to perjury in a court of law.

X) Thou shalt not covet.

  • Consuming desire for something belonging to another.

Any honest person with a working conscience should come to the conclusion over and over he has broken all ten laws, and there is no hope of ever being a 'good' person. You are lost!!

There is more bad news, God's just penalty for even one transgression is death:
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die"
Ezekiel 18.20ab

The place of death is hell, then the Lake of Fire which lasts forever for offending an eternal God.

If you know in your heart the above is true and are deeply worried please click here. Otherwise, re-read from the top down, meditating on each commandment. Top
